Christmas Day

We had a wonderful Christmas. The kids, looking adorable in their Christmas pajamas, were excited to see what Santa left them. They were all so sweet and thankful.

After breakfast we opened family gifts. Asher loved his ball toy even though it didn't work. Later Ryan took it apart and fiddled around with the wires and it worked, YEAH!

For dinner and presents we WALKED over to my mom's house. We had a wonderful time. We had our traditional "English crackers" and had to wear our hats we got in them. Unfortunately the dinner picture is missing my sister-in-law, Angie, and niece, Maddi, because Angie was taking the pictures and Maddi was helping.

Our family Nativity

I always love when we get the kids together and they act out the Nativity while my mom reads it from the scriptures. Sterling was Joseph, Maddi was Mary, Asher was baby Jesus, Gabriel was Angel Gabriel and a shepherd, Cameron was a shepherd, Alicia was an Angel, and Bryton was a wise man. As my sister said "the nativity is the neatest and funnest part of Christmas".

Pictures before church the Sunday before Christmas. Aren't they adorable!!!!

CHRISTMAS TIME

Last night Gabe has his Spanish Immersion Christmas program at the University Mall. They sang ten christmas songs in Spanish. Gabe enjoyed it.

Yesterday was the first time this year Alicia and Gabe got in ALL their winter clothes and played in the snow. We have a lot more snow today so they'll have a ball.

This last Saturday we went to the Park and the kids saw Santa Clause. It was windy and was snowing so the kids got candy canes and took a picture with Santa and we rushed back to the truck. It was nice and fast and the kids got to see Santa.

Last week we went to Thanksgiving Point to see the reindeer. Sterling was determined we were going the because Tanner was going that night. Unfortunately they went earlier in the evening then we did. The kids had fun guessing which reindeer they were. They kept trying to touch their antlers. It was a neat experience.

Last Tuesday we made our chocolate Christmas trains, a tradition we started last year. Thanks Jamie for the cute idea. The kids love making them. The boys won't let me help them and Alicia let's me help her a little. They are each creative and also love eating them for many days after.

I loved how Sterling wrote his name with M&M's and broken pieces of a candy cane. He is so dang cute. It's kind of hard to see in the picture.

Asher is Ten months old

Asher is growing up so fast. He turned 10 months old on November 16th. When I took him in for his nine month well visit last month he was too light at 15 lbs. 9 oz. Yesterday I took him in for a sick visit and he weighs 18 lbs. He has had a stuffy nose and yucky cough for a few weeks and the Dr. said it was a mild case of RSV. He said there's nothing they could do about it but let it run it's course. He's feeling much better today though. Asher has started standing up on his own so I pulled out the learning walker and he's been walking with it. I also just noticed that his third tooth on the bottom broke through. He doesn't have any on the top yet. Asher is so happy and fun and is a joy to have in our family!!!

Disney on Ice

We (me & Alicia) went to Disney on Ice last Saturday. Thanks Kevin & Sumer for the great tickets. It was a lot of fun and it was neat being just 'us girls' in the family. Alicia also really liked sitting by her good friend, Addy. We had second row seats so we could see really well. On our way home Alicia asked 'are the princesses coming over' and 'are the princesses going back to Disneyland'. It was so cute. It turned out really good that we'd just got home from Disneyland. We had a great time.
